The Rootwurks Webinar Series Presents: What is Quality Assurance in Cannabis, and What Does it Mean for Consumers?

Forget “like a kid in a candy store” - nothing quite compares to being a cannabis consumer in a legal adult-use dispensary. We may take it for granted today, but the sheer volume of premium, legal cannabis products available in states across the country is truly incredible.

But amid such a bounty of cannabis flower, concentrates, edibles, beverages, and intake methods, how can consumers be confident about the reliability, consistency, and safety of the cannabis products they buy?

We tackle this question on June 22nd at 12 pm in the next Rootwurks webinar, “What is Quality Assurance in Cannabis, and What Does it Mean for Consumers?”

Our expert panel will cover a wide range of issues involving quality in cannabis today. For instance, how do quality assurance measures help ensure the safety of cannabis products? How do these measures help companies develop consistent products that produce an effect consumers can count on? What are quality assurance professionals looking for when testing cannabis products - and which products give them the most headaches? We’ll also look at how stringent quality management is in cannabis and how it stacks up to other industries.

Who can benefit from the webinar?

The webinar is suitable for many people inside and around the cannabis industry. It is well suited for industry professionals who work in extraction or cultivation, quality managers and facility supervisors, and compliance professionals who know how quality assurance measures can help companies meet the industry's regulatory demands. Front-line workers (your friendly budtender at your neighborhood dispensary) can also benefit from the expert panelists, but so will quality assurance professionals from outside the cannabis industry who want to know if their skills apply to cannabis - and where they can sign up to join the industry. And for people outside the industry, the webinar should provide a fascinating window into what goes into making legal cannabis today.

Our panelists include Nicole Leja, the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Curaleaf Holdings, a leading international provider of consumer products in cannabis. Nicole leads the development and implementation of a quality management program across all US sites with adherence to current and future-state quality requirements.

Nicole will be joined by Tyler Williams, the Chief Technical Officer of CSQ Cannabis Safety & Quality, a safety-driven firm that helps companies minimize risk and damages resulting from product recalls.

And to give us some in-depth insights on compliance, we’ll have Rafael Bombonato, the Chief Compliance Officer of Green Scientific Labs.

If you’re a cannabis professional or are just curious about what to look for when shopping for cannabis and what steps the industry takes to make sure cannabis is every bit as safe and high-quality as can be, then join us on January 22nd:
